"You must do the thing you think you cannot do." -Eleanor Roosevelt
A Mother's Motto....
Cooking and Cleaning--And mending too--Are menial tasks I have to do--But loving my children--And making them smile--Makes everything else all worthwhile.
"So Frequently we mistakenly believe that our children need more things, when in reality their silent pleadings are simply for more of our time." ***President Thomas S. Monson (Ensign May 1994)
A couple of weeks ago, the scouts in our ward went to the new campground in New Hampshire, where they'll be having girl's camp. Our stake along with 8 other stakes purchased it. The scouts were asked to help get things set up for when the girls would be coming up to camp. Our ward went down and camped over night. Chad went with the scouts to help, too. I'm assuming they got their service project done, but all I heard about was the fishing! This is a sunfish that Vance caught. We were told that it's actually a good size for a sunfish. I wouldn't really know, though. He was sure happy to catch it! (Even, though, the top picture doesn't show it) These are the tents that the girls will get to sleep in. Better than sleeping on the ground, I guess.
Yikes! Tents? Glad I am not a YW any more. We had cabins. The church owns/ed the place we camped at too. I miss our camp. But fishing is fun. The kids are hoping to do some while we are at home this summer.
I'm a wife, a mom, a grandma, a christian, a friend, maybe a foe, a dreamer, a crocheter, a seamstress, a crafter, and a teller of stories. The list could go on and on. Here are just a few day to day ramblings about family, life, passions and craziness - because with a retired navy husband, 4 beautiful kids, and especially grandchildren, my life is very full.

Great catch, Vance! Looks like a fun "service project". :-)
