We have a beta fish named Killer. He is Chad's favorite fish. We've actually had him for 2 years and he's managed to survive all the other fish massacres at our house. (Fish come to our home to die, for some reason) Killer is sick, though. He just kind of floats around by the top of the water, but when you touch him he'll swim off. It's like he can't quite control how he swims. I've talked to Chad and tried to explain that Killer's days are probably numbered, but Chad refuses to believe that. He thinks that Killer will make a full recovery and any day now he'll start swimming around like he used to........but Killer's old. We've noticed for months now that he doesn't quite see as well as he should. I think that soon Killer will just drift off to his little Fishy Heaven and there he'll be happy and healthy again. And Chad will just have to have a little fish funeral to mourn his lost little friend.
