Sledding..........

The kids, that is Vance, McKaylie and Noah, have been doing a lot of sledding/snowboarding. Our new house is right next to this great little hill. It's perfect for sledding. It's not too steep, but steep enough to get some speed, not to high, making the hike back up exhausting, but high enough to make the ride enjoyable. And the best part, I can sit in my house and watch them! It's literally right next to the house. They are loving it and are out there constantly. Here's just a few pics we've captured over the last couple of months.Noah----whooohoooo!

Noah and McKaylie climbing back up the hill

Vance, did he crash or is he resting? I don't know
McKaylie and Vance taking a little break.....wow, we've gotten a lot more snow since this picture was taken
Back to work.....I love this picture of Noah. I don't know why, I just do.

Uhhh, We've Got A Little Snow Around Here.............

We got about 10 inches or so more yesterday on top of what we already had.

This is the view from my front door.Looking down our road.
Looking across at the kids at the bus stop.
And, standing at the end of our driveway looking back toward the yard/house.
I suppose it's too much to hope that in the next 3 months we won't get any more snow!

Hellooooo

Hello everybody!

Chad and I made a big, bold decision when we moved. The decision being that we wouldn't get cable and the internet hooked up again right away after the move. We thought it would be a good idea that during the kid's Christmas break from school that we didn't have cable or the internet, basically forcing them to find other ways of entertaining themselves. And if you can believe it, we liked it, so much so, that we extended it's absense a few weeks longer. The kid's might not completely agree that they liked it, but Chad and I did. It was actually nice not to have the outside "stuff" coming into our home. I did miss the internet, though, mostly because that's how I keep in contact with my family and friends. Our land line also goes through the internet so we just had our cell phones-rather inconvenient, but that's ok. All in all, I think our little experiment was a success. We all learned that we don't have to have the TV or computer to entertain us. We spent more time as a family, doing more worthwhile things. I think we were all reminded, too, how much we love each other and enjoy each other's company. Now the challenge is, to keep doing those things even though we've brought back the computer and TV. I guess time will tell. I am glad to be back blogging, though. I've missed you all and I doubt I'll ever get completely caught up on everyone.
